“History is always on the move, slowly eroding today’s orthodoxy and making space for yesterday’s heresy.” Discuss the extent to which this claim applies to history and at least one other area of knowledge.

Our senses tell us that a table, for example, is a solid object; science tells us that the table is mostly empty space.

ADDENDUM: I have also created a “fillable” version that students can use when they submit an outline to me.

We meet individually with each Senior three times to review progress on their essay.

Before those meetings, however, we meet with them as a group to review the prompts and assist them with some prompt analysis (students can also count that meeting as one of their three required ones).

Having seen and assessed your recent presentations, we have great confidence in all of you - you are not the same people as the ones who started the course.

You have grown in mind and heart and we sincerely hope that all the experiences you've had in TOK over the last 18 months have helped to shape you into independent thinkers who are confident to speak your mind about the things that matter most to you.
