If the thesis or dissertation you want is not available online due to age or restriction to on-campus use only, place a request for the dissertation or thesis through your home library’s interlibrary loan department.
The Graduate School and the Honors College send electronic thesis and dissertation files to the Libraries' Systems Department, which loads them into the UGA ETD database.
The SMARTech ETD collection also includes dissertations printed just before 2005 in the former Institute of Paper Science.
Electronic submission of theses and dissertations continues to be mandatory since spring 2004.
Check out the Graduate School's Thesis & Dissertation Requirements and the UGA Libraries' Guide to Scholarly Publishing & Communication.
All Georgia Tech theses and dissertations can be found digitally with the Georgia Tech institutional repository, SMARTech.
The link in the email will send you to a site where you can view the requested revisions as well as revise your thesis/dissertation. The “Revise thesis/dissertation” button on the left hand side of the webpage allows you to upload a new thesis/dissertation.
Click on the “View decisions” to see the formatting errors. You will need to save the PDF to your computer to view the comments. Once you click on the “Revise thesis/dissertation” button, you will be sent back to the original form that you have already filled out.
