In New York State, Regents Examinations are statewide standardized examinations in core high school subjects.

JUNE 2019: The new NY State standards for Social Studies require a new version of the Global Regents Exam starting in 2019.

It will only assess material from 10th grade but students can use knowledge from 9th grade to support their answers.
